Numeracy and literacy

Both of these can be dealt with in some new and imaginative ways.

Science Key Stage 4

For the Southampton University Summer School I developed a project to make pinhole cameras suitable for KS4 pupils.

Nature Lore and Walks and Talks

I have taken walks at more diverse sites than I care to think of; parks, gardens, estates, commons, forests, greenhouses and even just along the street.
There are a whole lot of things that can be described as Nature Lore, from what people used to use for covering their roofs or making fire to the fascinating life stories of even the most humble house plant.

I have strolled and and talked all over the place and it is true to say that there is always some thing that will catch people's imagination and attention, from small children under a tree all the way to experienced naturalists out on a field trip. Even skate boarding teenagers in a park.

If you have an event going on and you think you could do with an attraction a little unusual why not have a guided tour with a difference.
I can either relate true material, with or with out excessive hamming it up or just make up some nonsense and see who notices first.
